~*~ My Q & A Asked to Me ~*~

(Norma’s answers and Brenda’s answers are noted below)

If you never had to sleep in your whole life, what would you do with all that extra time?

Norma:  Being an insomniac already I have a whole lot of extra time to READ!

Brenda:  I would read!

What fictional place would you most like to visit?

Norma:  Have no idea! I don’t really put myself into fictional places as I have no imagination whatsoever.  But, I have often wished that I was just like Bewitched!  lol

Brenda:  No idea.

What’s your favorite genre of music, or your favorite band?

Norma:  My absolute favourite is Country.  I grew up listening to Country and it stayed with me into adulthood.

Brenda:  I have no favourite.  I like silence and prefer to listen to a book.

What’s your favorite song right now?

Norma:  Anything by Keith Urban!

Brenda:  None.  It really has been along time since I have listened to any music.

What’s your favorite book you’ve read this year?

Norma:  Oh, I have read quite a few good books so far this year!  But, I think my absolute favourite was The One Man and All The Ugly and Wonderful Things.

Brenda:  I have quite a few too and would say All the Ugly and Wonderful Things   would be a favourite.  This question really had me thinking.

Are you an early riser or do you like to sleep in?

Norma:  Most definitely sleep-in!  My best sleep is in the early morning.  Just too bad I have to wake up to go to work!  lol

Brenda:  I am up early and love mornings. It’s my favourite time to read.

What’s your favorite childhood book or fairytale?

Norma:  Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs

Brenda:  Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs

What’s most likely to send you off on a rant?

Norma:  Not too much will send me off into a rant. I am a go with the flow kinda gal and accept things for just the way they are.  But, I guess maybe one little thing that might send me off on a rant would be being misunderstood.

Brenda:  Drama…..I really need to keep my life free of it.

What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from home?

Norma:  I have been very lucky to visit some amazing places.  Hawaii and Prince Edward Island.

Brenda:  Europe.  I have been to a few places there.

What is something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point of?

Norma:  Haha, I tend to be obsessed over quite a few things that I love!  Books & purses come to mind!!  But, I guess what I don’t get the point of would be the obsession over celebrities.

Brenda:  I like Norma’s answer! 😊

Would you rather have an evening out, or a night in?

Norma:  Evening out with my hubby!  I tend to spend a lot of time alone during the day so an evening out is pretty special to me.

Brenda:  Evening at home with my family.

Traveling Sisters Review:  Silent Scream by Angela Marsons

Silent Scream (D.I. Kim Stone, #1)Silent Scream by Angela Marsons

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Traveling Sisters Review by NORMA, BRENDA and KACEEY!!

SILENT SCREAM (DI KIM STONE #1) by ANGELA MARSONS is an action-packed, tense, fast-paced, and a suspenseful thriller with lots of surprising twists and turns along the way that kept us all reading and guessing right to the very end.

SILENT SCREAM opens up great and caught our attention right away but then got a little weighed down for us with the array of characters that had us a little confused and struggled somewhat keeping them all straight. How did they fit into the story and when were they introduced? So then things started to go a little slow for us however when the action picked up and the boat started rocking we could not put this novel down. It felt like the calm before the storm for us.

DI Kim Stone is a fascinating and feisty female character with a wicked sense of humour and a soft side to her that we all absolutely loved. We loved the glimpses into her past and felt heartbroken by her childhood memories. Allowing us to see the vulnerable side of her.

ANGELA MARSONS delivers a complex and layered story here that is cleverly written in such a skillful way that allowed us to really get into the unique and distinctive characters and the storyline.

There is little snippets throughout, at just the right time, giving us a glimpse into the killer’s creepy motives adding some tension to the story for us.

The confusion with the characters and the slow start threw Kaceey off her game and she never saw the twists coming. Norma simply had a hard time getting her groove back after not reading much on vacation and was also stumped and felt like the author offered all those distractions early on to confuse her. Actually quite clever! We all thought we had it figured out only to find out we didn’t. Brenda is always off her game when it comes to thrillers and was so excited that she figured something out only to find out she didn’t. We all had a good laugh over this.

In amongst some darkness with subjects like abuse and neglect there is light with kindness from some of the characters that had us loving them even more.

Angela Marsons sure has left us wanting more and we are ready to dive into book two of this series very soon. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for DI Kim Stone next. Highly recommended!
